Questions from parents.
Does Lawrenceville Prep Flex include essay feedback?
Yes. Instructor essay feedback on your Lawrenceville essays and the parent statement is included: 6 feedback credits, one for each response your student submits for review. An instructor returns line-by-line notes on what to keep, cut, and strengthen, usually within 7 business days.
How do I apply to Lawrenceville?
Families apply through the Gateway to Prep Schools application. It starts with the Candidate Profile (Part 1). The admission process starts with an inquiry form.
Are SSAT or ISEE scores required?
Second Form (9th grade) applicants must submit SSAT or ISEE scores taken on or after June. Third Form (10th grade) applicants can send SSAT, ISEE, PSAT, SAT or ACT scores taken on or after June. Fifth Form and postgraduate applicants send PSAT, SAT or ACT scores. Lawrenceville's SSAT code is 4564 and its ISEE code is 310680. TOEFL is optional, with code 9153.
Is there an interview?
The application includes a campus tour and an admission interview when available. International applicants attending school abroad can interview online through Vericant, which fully satisfies the interview requirement and gets the same consideration as one with a Lawrenceville admission counselor. Lawrenceville describes the interview as a conversation that runs in both directions. It says visiting in person and meeting online carry exactly the same weight, and that interviewing early carries no weight in the decision. Lawrenceville tells applicants it is not grading them in the interview, and that parents get their own time with the school.
What does it cost?
Comprehensive tuition for 2026-27 is $82,710 for boarding students. Comprehensive tuition for 2026-27 is $68,060 for day students.
Does applying for financial aid affect admission?
Lawrenceville says that applying for financial aid has no bearing on the admission decision. Lawrenceville offers financial aid to domestic applicants through need-based grants. It says more than 30% of its current families receive need-based grants, and that it meets 100% of a family's demonstrated need.
When is the deadline and when do families hear back?
Lawrenceville lists January 15 as its application deadline and March 10 as the day decisions are announced. Admission decisions are released on March 10 on the Admission Portal.
Who can I contact?
The Admission Office is at admission@lawrenceville.org or (609) 895-2030. The Financial Aid Office is at (609) 895-2199.
Is LawrencevillePrep affiliated with Lawrenceville?
No. LawrencevillePrep by EduAvenues is an independent service, not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Lawrenceville School. Check every requirement and date on the school's own website before you apply.
